This overview draws on RAPLEX's internal dataset covering 82 published artists, examining each artist's key_producers field to see how often individual producers are registered across the site. Of these, 49 artists have at least one key_producers entry, yielding 61 internal links across 40 unique producers.

The method examined each artist’s key_producers field, which lists the top 5 producers by recording-participation count, drawn only from MusicBrainz producer relations with at least 2 distinct recording credits. For each producer identified this way, the analysis counted how many artists that person is registered against.
Of the 82 artists, 49 have at least one key_producers entry. Across these, the total internal links set comes to 61, connecting to 40 unique producers.
The top 10 producers by number of artists linked, with ties broken by post ID ascending, are as follows: Dr. Dre — 5; J Dilla — 5; DJ Premier — 5; Ye — 3; Madlib — 2; Eminem — 2; RZA — 2; The Alchemist — 2; Organized Noize — 2; Marley Marl — 2.
This ranking is a direct artifact of the counting method rather than a comprehensive measure of real-world production activity or importance. It reflects representative-release sampling, the extent of MusicBrainz coverage, the top-5 cap applied per artist, and the requirement that a matching artist post already exist on RAPLEX. Additionally, self-links, meaning cases where an artist is counted as a producer on their own release, may be included in these figures.
