Boom bap is a genre term associated with hip-hop production characterized generally by prominent, often sampled drum breaks with heavy kick and snare emphasis, a mid-tempo boom-bap rhythmic pattern, and a stylistic lineage tied to early-to-mid 1990s East Coast hip-hop production aesthetics. This describes general traits commonly associated with the genre category itself rather than a specific claim about any particular artist’s technique, delivery, or production approach.

Mobb Deep’s supplied discography comprises 21 releases spanning 1993 to 2015. Among the earliest entries are Juvenile Hell (1993), The Infamous… (1995), and Hell on Earth (1996). Later entries in the supplied discography include White Cocaine II (2015) and Survival of the Fittest EP (2015).
